Lessons may include some supplemental materials such as sheet music and custom videos or audio recordings. In some cases purchase of a book may be recommended based on the interests of the student.
Flat Monthly Fees
A flat fee for a month of lessons is to be paid in advance at the first lesson of each month. The fee stays the same regardless of how many weeks are in the month. Some months you get a fifth lesson free.
30 Minute lessons:
$140 per month for Lessons at my Studio
45 Minute Lessons:
$180 per month for Lessons at my Studio
60 Minute Lessons:
$220 per month for Lessons at my Studio
Paying per lesson (individually) is no longer allowed.
Scheduling Lesson Times
Students reserve a 30 minute time slot that reoccurs at the same day and time each week. The student is expected to show up for lessons at that time each week. Daytime slots work well for adult lessons, early childhood music classes and home schooled students. Some slots may not be available due to reoccurring performances.
If a student must miss a lesson, 24 hours notice must be given to receive a makeup lesson. The makeup lesson must be scheduled before the absence occurs. The lesson balance must be paid in full to be eligible for makeup lessons. Canceling a scheduled makeup forfeits that makeup lesson. All makeup lessons must be made up within the month they are missed. If the lesson cannot be re-scheduled in the available time slots, you forfeit any fee for that lesson.
If the teacher must miss a lesson, I will schedule a makeup lesson, offer a custom video lesson or assign a free lesson credit.
If a student stops showing up for lessons without notice or cancels all remaining lessons, no refund will be issued for remaining lessons in that month.
Restrictions apply for in-home lessons. These rates apply only to monthly students who signed up directly with Matt. In-Home lesson prices and availability may vary based on location. At this time, in-home lessons are not offered.
